Built in the 17th century the property has been lovingly restored
by its owners and retains its original features.
The Tastefully-furnished accommodation comprises on the ground floor, a comfortable beamed living area with many period features, a well-equipped newly fitted kitchen with slate-tiled floor, and a shower room with a large walk-in shower.

Adjustable night storage heaters and an electric stove ensure a warm snug stay. Duvets, blankets, clean fresh bed-linen and tea towels are provided with all services included in the price. Towels can be hired if required.
A newly-built annexe provides secure undercover cycle storage and laundry facilities including a washer dryer and classis ceiling-hung clothes airer. There is an outside tap for washing boots and cycles.
If you require provisions on arrival or during your stay let us know in advance. The annexe has a freezer for storing ready-meals and any other items you may need.
Modern communications include satellite TV/DVD and free WiFi for guests.
Why not relax after a long day out and sit in the garden, take in the amazing views and enjoy looking at the stars on a warm summers evening?
You will have a good chance of seeing a red squirrel from the colony which has lived in our woods for at least 30 years, and you can walk out onto the fells through our back gate.
We regret smoking is not permitted in the cottage. Also we do not allow dogs in order to protect the squirrels.
Private parking for one car is available adjacent to the cottage.
