If you wish to get away from it all, but still be able to access the region easily, Bannest Hill Cottage is situated between the villages of Hesket Newmarket and Mungrisdale on the edge of the fells. Outside your door you can walk directly onto Caldbeck Common and into some of the most spectacular scenery around this part of the Lake District. Local wildlife includes fell ponies, a red squirrel colony and ospreys. The attractive local villages provide lots of amenities, good local food and a real ale microbrewery.
